CMS Announces Certification of new IDR Entities – Expanding the Arbitration Bench

The Federal Departments (Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury) responsible for the implementation of the No Surprises Act (NSA) have completed an initial certification process for two new Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) entities.  The Departments will review and make a final decision on certification after the public notice period concluding on April 18, 2025.

We are encouraged that not only the certification of new entities will reduce delays in the IDR arbitration process, but more importantly indicates that the new administration supports both the NSA and the IDR process.
